There comes a point in every career when the path ahead no longer feels like progress. For me, it arrived quietly but unmistakably - a sense that I had outgrown where I was, that the work which once energised me no longer fit. I had spent more than 15 years in executive search, working under pressure to fill critical roles and advising thousands of professionals on how to present themselves in optimal fashion. On paper, things looked successful. But internally, I was confronting my own inflection point.Like many people I now work with, I found myself asking: "Is this it?" Or is there something more aligned, more meaningful, waiting beyond the comfort zone? That period of questioning was my own “crossroads moment” - unsettling, yet also a catalyst. It revealed not only that I needed change, but that countless others were wrestling with the same uncertainty.The world of work has shifted dramatically in recent years. The Covid pandemic reshaped how we think about our careers. The rise of AI is disrupting industries at a pace we can barely comprehend. Traditional career paths have unravelled, and with them, many of the old certainties. Talented people now find themselves adrift, misaligned, or simply invisible in a crowded market.
