Who this is for

When success on paper no longer feels like success in life.

  • You’ve built an impressive career, but something no longer fits.

  • You’re respected internally, but your next move isn’t obvious.

  • You’re facing an inflection point - by choice or circumstance - and want to move forward with clarity and confidence.

August Jaeger works with senior professionals and executives who sense that their next chapter requires a different level of thinking, positioning, and self-trust.

How we help you move forward

We work at the intersection of identity, strategy, and execution, helping you make sense of where you are, define what’s next, and move toward it deliberately.

The Stellschraube Framework

The work we do at August Jaeger is centered around guiding senior professionals and founders to locate the "Stellschraube" - that subtle yet powerful inner or strategic shift that unlocks clarity, momentum and alignment.Advisory relationships with August Jaeger are designed for leaders navigating complex transitions - not quick fixes or surface-level optimisation. We work through ongoing advisory partnerships that create space for clarity, challenge, and sustained perspective.

Structure & Commitment

Advisory relationships are intentionally selective and capped to ensure depth, discretion, and quality.Engagements are structured as monthly retainers, with options for longer-term continuity or flexible arrangements depending on context.Specific terms are discussed after an initial discovery conversation.

What makes this different

  • This is not therapy, and it is not motivational coaching.

  • We don’t provide formulaic scripts or offer outdated formulas.

  • We don’t optimise for speed at the expense of alignment.

Instead, we operate as a thinking partner - offering perspective, challenge, and clarity where it matters most. Much of the work happens underneath visible outcomes - but its impact shows up decisively in how you lead, decide and move.

Founder's story

Aaron Alexander Davies

The world of work has changed.

AI disruption, restructures, and shifting expectations have left many accomplished professionals questioning their next chapter. Traditional career paths have unravelled - and a strong CV alone is no longer enough.

After 15 years in executive search and thousands of conversations with senior leaders at pivotal moments, I saw a consistent pattern: what people needed most wasn’t another résumé rewrite - it was a thinking partner.

Someone who could help them make sense of who they had become, what they wanted next, and how to articulate their value with clarity and confidence.

My own inflection point reinforced that reinvention is both an inner and outer journey. As Carl Jung observed, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

The leaders I work with are rarely stuck in capability. More often, they’re stuck in narrative, direction, or self-trust.August Jaeger exists to help navigate that crossroads - with depth, intention, and strategic clarity.

Advisory Proposal Walkthrough
(25 minutes)

The Advisory Relationship

Our advisory relationships are designed in one of two ways:

Executive Advisory
(Corporate Sponsored)

Designed for organisations sponsoring senior leaders, founders and executives through periods of growth, transition, leadership development or high-consequence decision-making.

Bespoke advisory engagements are structured according to the needs of the individual(s) and organisation.

Private Client Advisory

A structured 12–16 week transformation programme for self-funded professionals navigating career transition, reinvention or significant professional change.

Each engagement begins with a Deep Dive Conversation to clarify objectives, identify barriers and define the most effective path forward.

Thought Leadership Articles

We know what we are, but know not what we may be.

Not as a motivational prompt, but as an honest admission of uncertainty - the kind that resists resolution.

Why Your Career Still Needs You

Every December, as the world slows down just enough for reflection, I try to make sense of the forces reshaping our work, our value, and our sense of self.

Are you being forced to play musical chairs with your career?

If you’re a senior professional navigating today’s market, “musical chairs” might be the most accurate metaphor going.

Get in touch

The work begins with a brief discovery conversation to assess context, alignment, and whether an advisory relationship is appropriate. If there’s a fit, we’ll discuss next steps. If not, you’ll leave with clarity either way.
