The Stellschraube Framework

At August Jaeger, we help senior professionals and the organisations supporting them locate their “Stellschraube” - the subtle yet powerful lever that unlocks clarity, alignment, and momentum. Our advisory relationships are designed for leaders navigating complex transitions, high-stakes decisions, and career inflection points - not quick fixes or surface-level optimisations.Through ongoing partnerships, we create space for insight, challenge, and deliberate action, enabling:

  • Leaders to regain focus and strategic direction

  • Teams and organisations to reduce transition risk and accelerate alignment

  • Executives to act with confidence and consistency in critical moments

What makes this different

  • This is not therapy, and it is definitely not generic career advice.

  • We don’t provide formulaic scripts or offer outdated approaches.

  • We don’t optimise for speed at the expense of alignment or organisational impact.

Instead, we operate as a thinking partner - offering perspective, challenge and clarity where it matters most. Much of the work happens beneath visible outcomes, but its impact shows up decisively in how executives lead, teams perform and organisations navigate critical transitions.

Founder's story

Aaron Alexander Davies

The world of work has changed.

AI disruption, restructures, and shifting expectations have left many accomplished professionals questioning their next chapter. Traditional career paths have unravelled - and a strong CV alone is no longer enough.

After 15 years in executive search and thousands of conversations with senior leaders at pivotal moments, I saw a consistent pattern: what people needed most wasn’t another résumé rewrite - it was a thinking partner.

Someone who could help them make sense of who they had become, what they wanted next, and how to articulate their value with clarity and confidence.

My own inflection point reinforced that reinvention is both an inner and outer journey. As Carl Jung observed, “Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”

The leaders I work with are rarely stuck in capability. More often, they’re stuck in narrative, direction, or self-trust.August Jaeger exists to help navigate that crossroads - with depth, intention, and strategic clarity.

2.

Deep Dive call
(60 minutes)

A deeper exploration of the situation to identify the underlying dynamics, constraints and leverage points shaping the current challenge.

3.

Proposal Walkthrough
(25 minutes)

A clear walkthrough of a personalised recommendation outlining how an ongoing advisory relationship could be structured, if it makes sense to proceed.

We know what we are, but know not what we may be.
